We're looking for a Vietnamese Language Manager to join our growing localization team. This role will be overseeing and responsible for the overall quality of the product UI in Vietnamese language for TikTok Shop Vietnam. If you are a highly motivated and experienced localization professional, you might be the person we are looking for
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the Vietnamese language quality for the TikTok Shop product interface and documentation.
2. Identify and analyze quality issues and work on improvement plans with localization project managers and XFN teams.
3. Oversee and perform localization tasks including but not limited to translation (English to Vietnamese), review, transcreation/copywriting, quality checks and LQA.
4. Creation and maintenance of the terminology database, TM, writing/localization guidelines and QA checklists.
5. Develop a strategy to manage language assets for the Vietnamese language.
6. Monitor the quality of external resources, including but not limited to conducting quality reviews, trainings and performance improvement plans. Connect with internal SMEs for expert opinion when necessary.
7. Work as the prime contact for the Vietnam market stakeholders, to work with both internal and external teams.
8. Develop and implement localization best practices, guidelines, and processes to ensure consistency and quality across all localized content for the language.
9. Managing localization timelines, quality metrics, and reporting on progress to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Work on TikTok Shop Vietnam translation, proficiency in English & Vietnamese is required
- Experience with CAT tools, TMS, and LQA process.
- Experience in IT-related industry and product localization across app/web environments.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Translation, Localization, Literature Studies or IT-related fields.
- 5 years of working experience, with 2 years of translation/proofreading experience (preferably in e-commerce, advertising or marketing field).
- Proven skills of multi-tasking, project management, time management, and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in managing the glossary, TM and style guide will be a plus
- Fast learner and a team player.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
