Overview

Liaise with various departments to communicate and implement all aspects of safety, contractor management and relevant regulatory compliance matters. Conduct inspections and investigations to ensure adherence to statutory requirements and industry standards, and promote a safe environment for guests, team members and contractors within Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain document control standard of Safety & Emergency Planning documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory requirements, ISO 45001, industry standards and RWS policies; oversee contractor management.
  • Maintain a robust Incident Reporting System, including investigation, recording, follow-ups, and improvement implementation using established IT systems and work procedures. Perform statutory incident reporting to Authorities as mandated by relevant laws. Use the IR System to aid RWS in the reduction and prevention of incidents.
  • Develop and implement Workplace Safety and Health programs, conduct safety inspections & audits, monitor and track statistics, and work with RWS departments to ensure timely reporting and recording of workplace safety incidents to reduce injuries.
  • Develop Fire Safety initiatives and programmes, including fire safety inspections, training, promotion, and advisories; engage with fire authorities (SCDF) for joint inspections and exercises to reduce fire risk.
  • Develop emergency action plans in collaboration with RWS departments; schedule and conduct exercises to familiarize departments and validate plans.
  • Recommend solutions and design programs to improve safety and operating results property-wide by researching new technology and standards related to safety & accessibility.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma/ Degree with minimum 3-5 years operational experience plus 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
  • Preferably a Certified Fire Safety Manager with at least 3 years of practice.
Skills
  • At least 3 years’ experience interpreting laws, regulations, standards and ensuring business operation compliance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years’ operational safety experience in any industry, capable of facilitating contractor management programs and delivering presentations.
  • Experience in managing ISO 45001 is an advantage.
