BASIC FUNCTIONS
Why You Will Love this Job: As a Data Center Segment expert, the Sales Engineer leads and develops sales strategies, generating new business by engaging with key accounts, end customers, consultants, and system integrators. You will maintain knowledge of market conditions, competitive positions, and solutions/services to develop business pipelines, with the goal of achieving profitable growth by converting project pipelines into orders.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate new business opportunities by contacting potential customers and decision makers.
- Collaborate with local, regional, and global teams to close deals and establish long-term relationships with stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with end customers, influencers, and contractors, possibly in conjunction with distribution partners.
- Build opportunity pipelines, manage data accurately in CRM, and meet sales targets.
- Establish budget forecasts and sales volume targets for the Data Center market.
- Coordinate with sales and distribution to ensure successful business and project closures.
- Identify and support strategic alliances to expand solutions and services.
- Provide marketing and technical support to partners and dealers.
- Analyze sales data for decision-making.
- Promote PS at trade events, create technical papers, and participate in conferences.
- Become an expert in Data Center power products, industry standards, and system design.
TRAVEL
This role requires up to 50% travel.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant sales experience in power generation.
- Proven sales track record and ability to negotiate with decision makers.
- Results-driven, competitive, and a good team player.
- Ability to travel frequently and work independently.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop sales and market strategies for specific territories.
- Execute product sales within pricing guidelines.
- Maintain relationships with customers, partners, and distributors.
- Advise on market trends and customer development.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to meet customer specifications.
- Travel periodically to support market development.
- Set sales forecasts and focus strategies for distributors/dealers.
- Provide technical and marketing support.
- Analyze sales data for management decisions.
- Support customer service and follow-up on payments.
Additional Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in power generation business.
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills, and proficiency in English.
- Self-motivated, independent, and customer-focused.
