Basic Qualifications
- Technical College Degree or Qualified Technical Diploma.
- Experience in mission critical environment with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in technical verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a data center.
- Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data center, escalating to the Data Center Facility Manager as needed.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
- Create and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians, Chief Engineers, and vendor support teams.
- Data Center capacity planning and reporting.
- Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians.
- Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to by vendor and Amazon staff.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
- Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience. Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in management of vendors/contractors performing construction, maintenance and upgrading works in large-scale critical environment.
- An excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including but not limited to DRUPS, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDUs, Chillers, AHUs and CRAC units.
- Data Center or Critical facility experience.
- Experience in managing engineering staffs
