**Job Title: Data Center Engineer**

Location: Various Data Center Sites (On-Site & Field Dispatch)

**Key Responsibilities**:
Equipment Installation & Maintenance: Deploy, install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and storage equipment in data center open-rack and cage environments.

Rack & Stack: Assemble and position racks, mount equipment, and ensure proper power and network connections.

Cabling & Connectivity: Perform structured cabling (copper & fiber), label and document connections, and ensure cable management best practices.

Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose hardware and connectivity issues, isolate faults, replace components, and coordinate with vendors for support as needed.

Upgrades & Decommissioning: Execute hardware upgrades, refresh projects, and safely decommission EOL retired equipment.

Networking & Security Devices: Install and configure network switches, routers, firewalls, hyper-converged infrastructure and special-purpose appliances to ensure optimal connectivity and security.

Storage & Backup Solutions: Work with NAS, tape storage, hybrid cloud infrastructure to support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.

Logistics & Transportation: Handle inbound and outbound shipments, site-to-site transportation, and secure handling of IT assets.

Data Security & Compliance: Perform device and disk degaussing, ensuring adherence to data privacy and security protocols.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of installations, troubleshooting steps, and equipment inventories.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
Experience: Minimum 3+ years as a Data Center Engineer or similar role.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including networking, structured cabling, and hardware troubleshooting.

Certifications (preferred): CompTIA Server+, CCNA, BICSI, or equivalent industry certifications.

Tools: Common data center toolkits, laptop, console cables, cable striping and crimping tool, label printer.

Travel: Willingness to travel between data center sites as required.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

Pay: $3,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
