Senior Sales Engineer, Commercial Building Service Division, SG
What is the job about?
Handling of sales of assigned business scope within the framework of the strategies and policies of the company to deliver sales target in Commercial Building Service Division. Drive Grundfos’ growth and strengthen our influence in the commercial building market in Singapore through targeted outreach for consultants, dealers and channel partners
Your main responsibilitiesHandle sales of assigned business scope within the framework of the strategies and policies of the company
Implement of sales policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
Create and maintain good relationship with customers, M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Consultants, Developer & End-User.
Engage with Consultants through delivery of technical trainings/seminars to promote Grundfos pumps as differentiators
Recommend sales strategies and budgets for specific business areas within designated regions to achieve sales targets, ensuring task-level execution aligns with these strategies, complies with company policies, and is within the assigned authority.
Monitor account receivable balances monthly; follow up with customers on outstanding balances to ensure timely payments, helping to manage cash flow and reduce potential bad debts.
Maintain good relationship with dealers, customer, building project’s owner, engineering contractor, design institute, consulting firms, and authorities.
Adapt to evolving business needs by taking on additional responsibilities as required
We imagine that you have:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical.
Experience driving sales, business and project processes in commercial building sector.
5-8 years of relevant work experience.
Strong ability to influence others and possess a great understanding of relevant systems, local laws and regulations in the commercial building sector. Strong knowledge of pump systemsfor plumbing, sanitary, and HVAC applications, with the ability to connect with customers, M&E consultants, and developers/end-users.
The role requires frequent visits to client sites, such as mixed development sites, data centers, office buildings, or other locations where the product or services are implemented for sales engineers to understand the client's environment and tailor their solutions accordingly. It also requires high levels of physical activity, including walking, climbing, standing, and potentially lifting equipment or materials during site visits.
Being energetic with the ability to work in various environments with PPE is essential.
The role also requires flow rate and head loss system calculations, submission of calculations and technical data to consultants for approval on the actual pump model, submission of mechanical and electrical drawings for approval, site coordination (with subcontractors and customers) for site meetings, pump delivery, installation, and T&C (Testing and Commissioning) progress claim submission to obtain agreement on payment, authoritysubmission PUB (Public Utility Board), O&M (Operation and Maintenance ) manual submission, and quarterly maintenance under the DLP(Defect Liability Period) (12, 15, or 18 months)
