Resource Development – Executive Volunteer Management & Supporter Engagement
4 TO 5 MONTHS CONTRACT TO COVER STAFF ON MATERNITY LEAVE
The Executive is responsible for the engagement of volunteers and supporters to give their time and resources in support of the causes that Caritas Singapore champions to serve the most vulnerable in our society.
Grow, Sustain and Manage Volunteer and Supporter Pool
· Ensure a positive experience for volunteers.
· Manage initiatives to increase volunteers and supporters such as through outreach events like parish roadshows.
· Manage corporate and school engagement regarding CSR and VIA projects.
· Review and enhance existing workflows for both donor and volunteer processes to improve
efficiency and accuracy.
· Manage volunteer matters including but not limited to recruitment, deployment, retention, recognition and review for Caritas's volunteer programmes/areas: Share a Pot, Rooftop Garden, Charities Week and other ad-hoc events.
· Manage the Volunteer Management Committee (VMC), including VMC presentations and secretariat duties.
· Organise volunteer gatherings, such as the post Charities Week dinner and appreciation events.
· Work with internal departments and Member Organisations on volunteer needs.
Supporter Engagement and Strategy
· Manage supporter engagement matters and events.
· Support the organisation in achieving its annual fundraising target by working with PR & Marcom on marketing and fundraising activities.
· Make recommendations on events and campaigns while monitoring results and viability of existing activities to develop and implement donor strategies to increase fundraising.
· Support the Philanthropy & Partnerships Executive in maintaining accurate and up-to-date donor records and transactions for tracking, analysis, and reporting.
· Responsible for supporter and donor stewardship.
· Ensure a positive experience for donors.
· Any other duties, including supporting other Caritas events as required.
Requirements
At least a tertiary degree education
Experience in a non-profit organisation is an advantage
Strong project management skills with multi-tasking capabilities
Strong written and verbal communication; able to deliver clear, concise information tailored to specific and varied audiences as well as a good listener so as to understand the needs of stakeholders
Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude and work independently with little guidance
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to people of different levels from cultures and beliefs. Being a team player is a must
Prior experience using Salesforce and WordPress will be an added advantage
4-5 months contract to cover staff on maternity leave.
