Embark on an exciting career as a Pilot with us and you’ll be flying one of the most modern aircraft and fuel-efficient fleets in the skies.
As part of your career, you will undergo a rigorous training program to equip yourself with the highest flying standards. As you work your way through the ranks, there will be ample opportunities for progress to a Captain, and further develop your skills in the Technical, Training or Management track for those who are assessed to be suitable.
Requirements

  • Holds a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi-Engine Aircraft Instrument Rating (CPL/MEIR) with frozen ATPL recognized or can be validated by CAAS.
  • Minimum of 1000 total flying hours as pilot of turboprop aircraft. (A minimum of 100 PIC hours will be required for candidates holding foreign pilot licences).
  • Minimum GCE 'A' Level / IB / IGCSE or equivalent, Polytechnic Diploma or Degree. Otherwise, you must have obtained a minimum of 5 GCE 'O' Level credits (or its equivalent). These must include English, Mathematics and a Science subject, taken at one sitting.
  • Able to speak and understand English with ICAO English Level 5 for inflight radio-telephony communications.
  • Myopia of not more than 800 degrees and astigmatism of not more than 300 degrees per eye.
  • Must possess valid Class 1 Medical Certificate (recognized or can be validated by CAAS).
  • Minimum height of 1.58m to carry out safety and emergency procedure on board.
Selection Process
 All interviews will be held in Singapore. Applicants undergo various stages comprising online application, computer assessment, interview, simulator assessment and medical check-up.
Training
 Where applicable, successful candidates will be trained to acquire an Aircraft Type Rating. Eligible candidates may be placed under an accelerated training programme.
Employment
 Successful candidates can be assigned to any fleet under the SIA Group. Successful candidates will enjoy a rewarding career coupled with extensive training and personal growth development with Singapore Airlines.
Remuneration And Service Benefits
 A monthly allowance will be provided during your training phase. On appointment as a First Officer, you will enjoy an attractive salary, along with various allowances and benefits.
Bond
 Successful candidates will be required to serve for the duration of the training, and for a period of 7 years from the date of appointment as First Officer.
