Overview

Police Officer (Policing-Study Diploma Programme) – Singapore Police Force (SPF). This programme offers candidates with NITEC or Higher NITEC certification an opportunity to pursue a sponsored Diploma while employed full-time as a Direct-Entry Sergeant and drawing a full salary. Time off will be provided to pursue studies.

What The Role Is

The SPF Policing-Study Diploma Programme allows trainees to integrate academic studies with practical work experience. Trainees can look forward to four workdays and one day of in-person classes each week, ultimately graduating with a Diploma in Policing & Security Management from Temasek Polytechnic. Trainees will study subjects such as Criminal Law in Practice, Security Operations & Administration, Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Psychology & Law Enforcement, among others. The mission of SPF is to prevent, deter and detect crime by partnering with the community to protect life and property, prevent crime and disorder, detect and apprehend offenders, and preserve a sense of security.

What You Will Be Working On

Sergeant Police Officers are expected to perform demanding tasks. The role requires tenacity, toughness and thoughtful interpersonal skills to engage with people from all levels of society. The SPF offers unique rewards, challenges and opportunities in various units and departments, including criminal investigation, fighting gangsterism, and community policing.

What We Are Looking For

The SPF Policing-Study Diploma Programme is open for application to ITE graduates.

  • NITEC Certification with a minimum GPA of 2.0; or any Higher NITEC Certification
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum NITEC or Higher NITEC certification
  • Interest in pursuing a Diploma in Policing & Security Management
  • Willingness to work full-time as a Direct-Entry Sergeant and attend compulsory study sessions
