What The Role Is As a Manager/ Senior Manager, New Media under the Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST), you will be managing the social media platforms to support the building of teacher identity and enhancement of Professional Learning (PL) and well-being of the teaching fraternity. You will also oversee research and analysis on the effectiveness of the various social media platforms to optimise AST’s audience engagement. What You Will Be Working On Platform Management: Develop and review AST’s social media strategy and objectives in alignment with the Ministry’s social media guidelines; and collaborate with project teams in managing the communications plans and schedules Content Creation and Curation: Work with project teams to create and curate customised and timely contents for different platforms and formats (e.g., videos, graphics) User engagement: Manage communications and engagements across different social media platforms for consistent messaging, while building a strong and trusting relationship between AST and target audiences Analysis: Lead research on preferences and behaviours of different teacher target groups to identify engagement trends and opportunities; and analyse social media metrics to measure effectiveness of platforms and content areas to support decision-making What We Are Looking For Well-versed with social media landscape for creators, and proactively monitor popular and viral trends to assess their suitability for adoption to suit unique contexts Conversant in content creation for social media, including the use of common tools and forms of content (e.g. short-form videos, infographics, hash-tagging etc.) Passion in using social media platforms for communications and engagements Experience in assessing effectiveness of engagement efforts using social media metrics and other research methodology would be preferred We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
