Job Profile/Purpose: Data Centre Lead

The IT Data Center Lead is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing team members, contractors/consultants, and the overall IT operation, focusing on ensuring the stable operation of the organization's IT Data Center and server infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas such as Cloud, Data Center, Servers, Mainframe, Operating Systems (Windows, AIX, Linux, Unix, CentOS, etc.), Storage, Backups, Databases, Device Management, Virtualization, security tools, and other infrastructure.

This role also oversees the operational excellence of the Data Center and Operations team, implementing ITIL and ITSM procedures, with initial focus on developing Incident Management, RCA/Problem Management, Change Management, Event Management, SLAs, production support, standards, tools, and best practices for the technology organization. The candidate must be a technically strong leader capable of managing projects, internal resources, and external vendors/service providers, with strategic and transformational capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain data centers and environmental facilities, including UPS, backup generator power, fire prevention systems, and HVAC.
  2. Plan, design, implement, and support the company's infrastructure (hardware, systems software, networks, backup systems, cloud infrastructure) in a multitiered, multi-platform environment.
  3. Lead infrastructure implementation into computing facilities, ensuring availability, security, and reliability of systems and networks with high-quality installations and rapid deployment cycles.
  4. Manage 24/7 maintenance activities for data center hardware, software updates, configurations, patching, and report on the health of the core infrastructure.
  5. Asset tagging and data center inventory management.
  6. Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, Information Security Framework, and BCM standards.
  7. Monitor incidents, SRs, problem tickets, RCA, and change controls continuously to reduce risk and facilitate safe repair and change windows.
  8. Troubleshoot data center and physical infrastructure issues.
  9. Participate in high-severity operational incidents.
  10. Maintain detailed SLA/SLO metrics related to availability, assets, operations milestones, incident management, facility health, capacity, and backups.
