Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Data Centre Engineer. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our 24x7 data centre, including maintenance, repair, and monitoring of critical equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to ensure the optimal performance of our data centre operations, including the upkeep of critical equipment and systems.
  • Monitor the performance and availability of IT services, processing production jobs and escalating incidents related to computer hardware, operating systems, application systems, and data centre facilities.
  • Assist in maintaining data centre security and ensuring compliance with established security protocols.
  • Support the reliability, availability, and performance of the event monitoring system to guarantee that service vendors meet agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our data centre operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A NITEC or higher qualification in IT or a related field is required.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in data centre operations or IT support is essential.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude and keen interest in IT are highly valued.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail are crucial.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are necessary.
  • Ability to adapt to shift duties as required.
