Associate Commercial Specialist

Apply for the Associate Commercial Specialist role at S&P Global . The Associate Commercial Specialist will be integral to the APAC metals and agriculture sales specialist team, supporting Project GAIA’s initiatives in agriculture and metals within S&P Global Commodity Insights. The role focuses on driving new logo sales, customer retention, and providing insights to the product/content teams to strengthen S&P Global’s market leadership. Responsibilities and Impact Help sales specialists achieve and exceed net‑sales and customer experience targets for Agriculture and Metals across APAC. Coordinate with the Commercial team to maintain CRM/Salesforce activity logs, meeting notes, and provide accurate forecasting of sales opportunities. Participate in planning and executing account management schedules and detailed action plans – white space analysis. Collaborate with the primary accounts hunter team on list building prioritization. Develop and strengthen relationships with existing clients through regular analyst engagements. Use insights from Agriculture customers and prospects to inform the Product/Content team, ensuring relevant offerings for agriculture and metals markets. Basic Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). Strong solution‑selling background with proven experience in maximizing customer value and coordinated account planning. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship building with customers, markets, and internal stakeholders. Strong oral and written English skills required for effective communications. Additional Preferred Qualifications Mandarin speaking capability (desired). Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
