About the role The Head of Technical Operations at Zyte plays a critical leadership role in ensuring our technical and product infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and efficient. This role acts as a strategic partner to the CTO and collaborates across Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Support to ensure our platform and services meet the highest standards of performance, stability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Service and Incident Operations Lead end-to-end incident management, including detection, escalation, resolution, and postmortems Define and enforce service readiness standards, release protocols, and rollback procedures Ensure clear service ownership with measurable SLOs and SLAs across all production systems Drive operational reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and customer impact Security and Compliance (SecOps) Own Zyte's security operations, including threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response Ensure infrastructure, platforms, and processes comply with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements Implement and maintain SecOps processes, tooling, and dashboards to ensure proactive risk management Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to embed security best practices into design, development, and operations Infrastructure and Platform Operations Oversee global proxy and cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency Lead capacity planning, usage forecasting, and vendor management to optimize operational costs Drive the development of operational tooling, observability, and automated monitoring for high availability Ensure the IP pool and supporting infrastructure consistently meet performance and uptime targets Product Support and Critical Escalations Serve as the executive escalation point for critical product and infrastructure incidents Coordinate structured triage and resolution processes, ensuring timely root cause analysis and documentation Partner with Product, Support, and Account teams to resolve strategic customer issues Monitor platform performance to anticipate and prevent recurring incidents Data-Driven Operations and Reporting Provide operational data and insights to support strategic decisions across Product, Engineering, and Sales Oversee platform health metrics, cost analytics, and incident trends to inform capacity and reliability planning Drive data-based reviews of major incidents, operational KPIs, and customer impact assessments Technical Leadership and Process Improvement Establish operational excellence practices, including safe release processes, feature flagging, and staged rollouts Lead cross-functional coordination for large-scale initiatives, migrations, and downtime planning Define, track, and communicate operational KPIs to ensure alignment with company goals Foster a culture of accountability, reliability, and continuous improvement across all technical operations teams Benefits As a new Zytan, you will: Become part of a self-motivated, progressive, multi-cultural team.
