This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the FX DAC team to form an integrated part of a coverage team (across Singapore and Hong Kong) with a specific focus on driving FX & Precious Metals (both cash and derivatives) activity across the client spectrum.

Job Summary

As an Executive Director in the Foreign Exchange Direct Access Coverage (FX DAC) team, a relatively new and high profile role within JP Morgan Private Bank Asia. You will form an integrated part of a coverage team that spans across Hong Kong & Singapore. Your primary focus will be on UHNW clients (both existing and prospective), promoting FX & Precious Metals (both cash and derivatives) activity across the client spectrum in South East Asia and Greater China regions. 

Job Responsibilities 

Be the first member of the FX DAC to be based in Singapore (alongside the existing HK based team that was set up in late 2021). Manage direct client coverage for FX & PM, which includes advice, portfolio risk management, pricing and execution across spot, forward & OTC derivatives. Work closely with the broader coverage team to ensure that FX activity is aligned with clients’ investment plans and objectives. Increase FX activity with existing clients, as well as working with key stakeholders to identify potential new clients who might be suitable for the DAC offering. Provide daily client interaction (over the phone or in person) to discuss markets and to offer solutions; Conduct and provide quantitative and qualitative analysis on markets and trade ideas. Develop connectivity with sales, trading and research partners within JP Morgan CIB. And developing and presenting ideas that may be suitable across the franchise.  Build relationships with key stakeholders across the PB in Asia, EMEA and the US.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

Must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 15years of experience in FX / PM markets (either advising clients, trading or structuring). There is a core need for quantitative and technical skills for this position, including an extensive knowledge of FX options, specifically from a risk management stand point. Understanding of market risks from a pricing and execution perspective. Efficiency and accuracy in pricing various trade strategies. Demonstrating a strong interest and passion for financial markets, international affairs and geopolitical events. Superior analytical and marketing skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, practical forms. Personality marked by drive and ambition with demonstrated success in dealing with a wide range of clients. Communication style that will enhance credibility and create trust with clients; strong presentation skills. Team player capable of working effectively with many business partners. Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines & appropriate local regulatory qualifications and licenses. Fluency in Mandarin is required for interacting with Chinese and Taiwanese clients, as client coverage includes Greater China markets. 

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

Proficiency with electronic trading systems is preferred.
