Google Workspace Support Engineer

As a part of our team, you’ll help deliver seamless IT experiences and support to our employees at Sea by providing responsive helpdesk service, stable networks and reliable IT systems.
As a Google Workspace Support Engineer, you will manage and maintain our Google Workspace environments, ensuring it meets organizational needs and security standards. This role involves providing support, performing routine maintenance, and leading projects to implement new features and functionalities.
Job Description
Stakeholder Support:
Attend to requests from internal stakeholders regarding their Google Workspace requirements on a global level.Provide first-level support for Google Workspace issues and inquiries.Maintenance and Documentation:
Perform routine maintenance tasks and updates.Develop and deliver training materials for end-users.Maintain documentation of Google Workspace configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.Project Participation:
Participate in Google Workspace-related projects and migrations.Contribute to team meetings and project planning.Implement and manage security settings, including DLP, email security, and data protection policies.Configuration and Automation:
Configure Google Workspace applications and settings to meet organizational needs.Build automations for routine operational tasks related to Google Workspace.Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal IT teams and other departments to implement new features and functionalities.Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.Proven experience as a Google Workspace Administrator or in a similar role.Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of Google Workspace services and administration tools.Experience with DLP and other advanced security configurations (preferred).Technical skills/background in network/system administration (added advantage).Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell).Familiarity with other IT systems and integrations.Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Google Workspace Administrator, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified).Analytical and Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve issues.Result-oriented with the ability to drill down to details to ensure project progression.Project and Stakeholder Management:
Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.Strong stakeholder management capabilities and strategic mindset for advising and managing internal and external partners.Communication and Teamwork:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to manage operations team activities and coordinate effectively.Attributes:
