We are seeking an experienced and proactive Emergency Management Planning Specialist to join our client’s team in providing essential assistance to security personnel. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of emergency preparedness and recovery procedures, with a strong emphasis on developing and implementing effective emergency management plans.

The candidate will support our Client’s Emergency Planning team, conducting planning initiatives, administrative duties, document development and tracking, emergency plan analysis and is responsible in supporting the Client in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of various Emergency Services programs and projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support client in the collaboration of XFN teams in the development of all Emergency Management plans.
  • Project manages, with Client direction, a functional area of the Emergency Services Program; such areas may include:
  1. Governance and Compliance
  2. Exercise and Testing
  3. Training and Documentation
  4. Communication and Reporting
  • Conducts independent research and studies, identifies problems, and effectively recommends action.
  • Act as a resource to the APAC region, as they implement the program
  • Identifies operational efficiencies while documenting content and communicating areas of improvement within the process to subject matter experts (SMEs) and managers.
  • Creates sustainable communication themes in conjunction with systematic routines, processes and preparedness activities for the client to execute consistently.
  • Keeps informed of local regulations affecting emergency plans and ensure that plans adhere to these regulations
  • Prepares, processes, or supervises the processing of pertinent planning documents such as Emergency Operations Plans (EOP), Emergency Action Plans (EAP), hazard specific Response Action Plans (RAP), Incident Action Plans (IAP), Event Action Plans, Operational Plans, After Action Reports (AAR), Corrective Action Plans (CAP), and any other Emergency Management planning document.

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in a related field (emergency management, crisis management)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (emergency management, crisis management)
  • Experience working in or with public safety agencies.
  • Analytical mindset and an ability to understand and learn the organizational infrastructure and internal needs and help define and drive processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with tight deadlines and take ownership of writing tasks from start to finish without management oversight.
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to think a few steps ahead in terms of servicing the partner teams and aligning strategic priorities with tactical ones.
  • Ability and desire to collaborate and work with cross-functional stakeholders across different time zones.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to influence operational changes, drive collaboration and maximize adoption of new ideas, tools and practice.
  • Experience with emergency building evacuation
  • Ability to be candid, transparent, dynamic and trustworthy.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Ability to develop and execute presentations.
