Summary:Position overview
CPS (Commercial Products Supply) is a key part of the Advantaged Supply Chain of the Technical Function of The Coca-Cola Company. CPS manufactures concentrates and beverage bases for sale to bottling partners all over the world. This global organization manages a network of 18 manufacturing plants in 17 different countries. As we embark on ambitious environmental sustainability goals, the Director of CPS Water Technology & Stewardship will play a crucial leadership role in pioneering our 2030 Global Water Strategy across the CPS network.
The Director of CPS Water Technology & Stewardship will serve as a leader in operational sustainability, orchestrating the implementation of The Coca-Cola Company's (TCCC) 2030 Global Water Strategy in CPS.
This role encompasses leading initiatives for global water quality and efficiency enhancements across the CPS network, driving the adoption of the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) standard, and pioneering the Global CPS Regenerative Water Use strategy. The position demands a proactive, innovative, and results-driven approach, ensuring the adoption of cutting-edge processes, programs, metrics, and technologies to achieve exemplary performance and results through collaborative efforts with our Network Organization, including Corporate, CPS, OU Technical, PACS, and other critical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Elevate CPS water efficiency and quality improvement strategies on a global scale. Act as the subject matter expert in areas of water quality, treatment, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with TCCC's KORE water quality and treatment standards. Innovation and Technology Integration: Champion the introduction and implementation of innovative solutions and technologies to significantly enhance water quality and efficiency across all CPS manufacturing locations including greenfield sites. Global CPS Water Stewardship Framework : Oversee the implementation of the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) standard, develop and empower a networked team to achieve AWS certification by 2025, and continuously improve CPS's overall water management and sustainability efforts. Regenerative Water Use Development: Lead a CPS-wide strategy for Regenerative Water Use, drive replenish projects, and ensure targeted budget planning to fulfill CPS replenish goals. Performance Measurement and Reporting: Develop and manage KPIs to monitor and support CPS water stewardship initiatives, ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of sustainability data, and drive strategy through trend analysis. Network Leadership and Collaboration: Direct the operational global network of CPS associates focused on water challenges, fostering best practices sharing, and contributing expertise to TCCC's Global Environment Network.Expertise:
FunctionalAdvanced understanding and expertise in water quality parameters, treatment technologies, stewardship programs (including AWS standards), environmental regulations, and global environmental reporting frameworks (like CDP and SBT).
ManagementProven leadership experience in managing technical teams within multicultural environments, exemplary communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels, and adept at navigating global cultural diversities.
The Director of CPS Water Technology & Stewardship will be a leader with a robust background in environmental sustainability and water stewardship, possessing the technical expertise and management capabilities to inspire change and achieve ambitious environmental goals within a global context.
Education requirements & related work experience
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, in Environment or relevant technical area (water treatment, water technology). 5 to 10+ years in Water/Environment/sustainability experience. Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to lead an operational area such as Water technology & Stewardship. Project management knowledge and experience. Excellent IT skills (e.g.: MS Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to analyze complex data and report in a clear manner to a non-technical audience. Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership presence and cultural awareness skills. Ability to provide clear, relevant technical advice to professionals in the building and maintenance fields. The ability to liaise and obtain buy-in to service requirements from senior level stakeholders across a large complex organization. In-depth technical knowledge and understanding of water reduction techniques, water and wastewater treatment technologies. In-depth technical knowledge and understanding of water stakeholders, policies, and related legislation.Skills:
