Overview
Aquient is seeking a Technology Director to join our leadership team. The role ideally sits in our Singapore office, and will help build and deliver technology best practice in our team. The role will require hands on, roll-your-sleeves-up / hands-on work, travel, and client consulting, as well as team management, executive level leadership and contribution to business strategy as part of the leadership team. This is a role that will grow with you, where you will directly build the foundation to
grow a larger team in future.
The role will suit an experienced and motivated technology leader, who possesses a unique balance of technical depth, strong interpersonal skills, an ability to influence executive level peers, CTOs / CIOs at our clients and senior members of our technology partner teams (currently Salesforce /
Google).
The Technology Director is also the chief Solution Architect for the business, ensuring standards of solution creation and delivery and enforced and constantly improved for both any products we build internally, and for our professional services capability delivered to clients.
This leadership role will provide thought leadership to our clients, challenge their technology thinking, set our strategic technology direction (build internal IP, hire team members, partner with software / technology services vendors). The Technology Director will need to partner with the Strategy, Operations and Account teams to achieve their objectives in a way that sustains all of business objectives and maintains the companys vision / mission.

Responsibilities

Accountable for the technology practice P&L, working with the leadership team to establish technology go to market products, services and partnerships to capture the market
opportunity, driving best in class solutions for our customers, recruiting team members and technology practice management (in partnership with Operations).  Practice building: drive overall growth of the technology practice for the long term. Set practice vision and strategy. Drive results. Ensure optimum deployment of technology team resources to maintain expected utilisation rates within the team. Team & Individual Development leveraging your background in technology, lead, manage, coach, develop and guide the technology team, maintaining them as a high performing team, managing their individual growth and career development. Manage to a zero attrition rate in the team (hire smart).  Business Development lead business development activities (with the account team and CEO), partnering with new business and engagement team members and other practice
leaders to identify opportunities and sell products / services to both new and existing customers. Follow a land and expand mentality on new customers identify long term
roadmaps / programs of technology work with our customers and assist the account team in nurturing the longer term opportunities.  Develop and maintain executive / C-Level client stakeholder relationships and expand Aquients client portfolio Develop and maintain senior relationships with alliance partners (Salesforce, Google + others as relevant)  Increase Aquients brand recognition in the market by participating in industry forums, events and speaking engagements Enhances the companys culture and exemplifies our shared values on a day-to-day basis Champions continuous technical education and growth for all team members

Qualifications

15+ years of experience, focussed on agency / consulting services, or equivalent industry experience with a BS / Masters in a relevant field. Director / VP level experience in a mid / large consulting firm, including experience in large scale platform deployments and navigating client political issues (multiple business function alignment, deployment issues, regulatory / compliance etc) P&L experience, ideally in a high growth environment and of 8 figure P&Ls  Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally by building strong senior stakeholder relationships Excellent negotiation, conflict management, problem solving and decision making skills with an ability to communicate effectively and tactfully across all levels of the organisation Proven history of creating solutions for a customer base, influencing stakeholders and growing technology capability of existing clients / acquiring new customers through
technology thought leadership paired with an ability to execute on that sales vision Proven track record of client / employee satisfaction A self recognised and admitted servant leader Deep experience managing and leading people, including mentoring and coaching skills Deep technical understanding of cloud based technologies and solutions, primarily including CRM (Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud) and cloud platform technologies (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure etc) + full stack software engineering and agile delivery. Strong reputation / credibility with Salesforce (esp Marketing Cloud and technologies like DMP, Interaction Studio, data visualisation / Datorama etc). Expert business operations experience understanding of the consulting process: SOW generation, scoping, invoicing, margins, utilisation etc) Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to audiences of all levels, including client facing skills.
