We are currently looking for a Business Development Specialist to join our Business Development team.

This role will Identify and manage growth through diversification of Ricardo Rail Hong Kong and South East Asia business. Ensure client potential is maximised through coordinated account management and healthy regional sales pipeline. Support Business Manager to develop and implement Hong Kong and South East Asia business growth plan

Responsibilities:

SERVICE DEVELOPMENT

To identify new project opportunities, broadening the Ricardo Rail client network and connections. Producing and developing well-constructed proposals/bids that provide valuing adding solutions to clients. Commercial management - communicating with legal team for terms and conditions review, support preparation of budgets for new opportunities Support Hong Kong and South East Asia team for all sales activities and working closely with the Business Manager. Listen and analysis client voice and feedback to Hong Kong and South East Asia delivery teams. Opportunities and Pipeline management and analysis based on Client Relationship Management (CRM)  Providing administrative support for Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform Conducting market research on public tendering and potential competitors in a non-confrontational manner.

PIPELINE OVERSIGHT

To report the sales opportunities pipeline. Support the Hong Kong and South East Asia team with initiatives or actions necessary to ensure achievement of sales targets. 

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT AND PROACTIVE SELLING

Support the local or regional Account Managers to develop and maintain client relationships via regularly visiting and listening. Supporting local client visits and attending local conferences on client networking, promote Ricardo Rail capabilities, approach and secure new opportunites Gathering information on potential contractors and market trends to set focus on account management and proactive selling

Requirements:

Candidate shall have minimum 6 - 8 years of experience in bid / sales / business development area. The ideal candidate for the Business Development Specialist shall have a proven track record as a Business Development Support or Specialist in an engineering consultancy environment.

Candidate shall also pose the following skills and knowledge : 

1) Strong Communication skills - you will need to be proactive, positive and confident communicating at all levels, in written and verbal to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, able to work as part of a team. 

2) Demonstrable experiences in bids/proposals compilation and management - attentive to details, skilled in MS Office, dedicated to meeting bid deadlines, open to collaborate with global team

3) Ability to confidently present and represent the company brand

5) Proficient in English and Mandarin

6) Interested in expanding knowledge on railway consultancy concepts and terminologies 

Candidate poses the additional skills and knowledge listed below will be preferred:

1) Detailed knowledge of market development and means of developing and implementing business strategy and plans.

2) Demonstrable experience in networking and negotiating with rail industry professionals and clients, having established network within the railway industry. 

4) Proficient in Cantonese
