The Position

Job Description

Role Purpose:

As the Application Consulting Manager for Core Lab systems, you will be responsible for:

Supporting to all application related aspect to the Core Lab business team covering all systems and assays especially in the field of Mass Spectrometry portfolio

Product trainings are planned and carried out according to Global Customer Support (GCS) Training Standards and Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP)

Develop, conduct, monitor and assess comprehensive needs assessment and training programs, education seminars and workshops

Provides a high quality application support as required, which is consistent and in line with the changing requirements of the affiliates and their customers.

Provide advanced troubleshooting support and assist with the business team in the roll-outs to ensure continued customer satisfaction

Networking with affiliates application teams through Asia Pacific network

Assist, drive and support the development and facilitation of business communication across countries in APAC to ensure best practice sharing

In this role, you will:

Take ownership and drive improvement of technical support and training processes

Gather and deliver strategic and competitive feedback, communicating use cases to Global and Regional stakeholders.

Coordinate and perform application training and demonstrations.

Support affiliates from the acceptance of applicable product problems to the derivation of suitable measures for problem solving

Participate and contribute in projects relating to technical support, training, sales and/ or marketing.

Help sales organizations and customers develop or validate protocol.

Support technical product management that includes the preparation for launches, sharing information and knowledge from global across all affiliates in APAC

Report to the Application Consulting Team Manager, Lab & C-Suite Value Stream

Who you are:

In-depth knowledge of mass spectrometry principles, instrumentation, and data analysis techniques.

Hands-on experience with various types of mass spectrometers, such as LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) and GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry).

Ability to interpret complex mass spectrometry data and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during analysis

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise instrument performance and ensure accurate and reliable results

Ability to assess the lab including sample preparation, system tuning, method refinement, routine troubleshooting, data processing and archiving

Understanding of sample preparation techniques and chromatography methods that complement mass spectrometry analysis.

Ability to work with data processing tools and statistical software for data interpretation and presentation.

Proficiency in developing and optimising mass spectrometry methods for specific applications, such as proteomics, metabolomics, or environmental analysis would be an advantage

Familiarity with mass spectrometry data analysis software, such as MassLynx, ChemVista, Xcalibur etc, would be an advantage.

Experience in teamwork and project management in matrix organization, preferably a regional structure.

A great team player with willingness for overseas travel up to 30% of the time. 

Familiarity with the technological trends and their relevance to the healthcare industry

Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in analytical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry or a similar discipline would be a common requirement

At least 5 years of professional experience in the scientific environment in the laboratory diagnostics industry and have several years of experience in quantitative mass spectrometry. Solid understanding of the principles and techniques involved in mass spectrometry. Expertise in method development, troubleshooting, and data analysis

Practical application experience in providing applications trainings and support is preferable

Broad knowledge of Mass Spectrometry systems and assays

Solid commercial acumen which can be demonstrated by previous success in bringing the benefits of sales, marketing or operational experience to solve business issues or capitalize on market opportunities.

Clear vision of and commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Excellent organization, analytical and systematic troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team towards corporate goals.

Good aptitude for working with diverse cultural groups

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding presentation and training skills.
