We are looking to provide a learning opportunity for an Intern in the Global Medical and Scientific Affairs team.
Name & Title of Hiring Manager: Principal Scientist, Medical Affairs
Number of internship positions : 1
Preferred Period of Internship Required : July 2024 – December 2024
Preferred School/Course of Intern : Undergraduates majoring in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Health Sciences and related disciplines.
With assigned mentors, the Intern will support ongoing medical-led projects and learn various aspects of Medical and Scientific Affairs e.g. Claims support, scientific literature reviews/ summaries, evidence generation, consumer insights, medical area governance, publication preparations, and medical information requests. This is a great opportunity for the Intern to experience and gain perspectives in Medical and Scientific Affairs within a Consumer Health organization.
Responsibilities:
You will be required to:
Support on-going medical-led projects and workstreams related to the OTC category. Details to be determined during onboarding prior to start of the internship based on current business needs and strengths of trainee. Participate in end-to-end development of category and product claims. Participate in literature reviews and scientific analysis to value-add to innovation projects. Be trained on related platforms/systems: - E.g. For preparation, approval, and review of Scientific documents Participate in evidence generation using AIML initiatives/claim tracker. Learn how to generate the scientific documents like Claim Support Summaries, Response documents to Health Authorities, Medical information, Scientific modules.Learning Outcomes
You will be able to:
Experience and participate in medical affairs related processes, activity, and its role in the R&D ecosystem. Experience being part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Consumer Health organization. Learn various processes and platforms that support medical affairs activities. High level scientific and business aspects of OTC categories.Why You?

Educational background – studying Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Health Sciences related degree (undergraduates completed Year 2 or Year 3 when starting role). Proficient in use of IT and software/systems, database systems and presentation skills.Behavioural Skills and Competencies
