[What the role is]

The Operator Tenancy Management Department (OTMD) oversees the management of new hawker centres, also known as Socially-conscious Enterprise Hawker Centre (SEHC). OTMD works closely with the operators appointed by NEA to ensure smooth management and operations of the hawker centres.

[What you will be working on]

The main job responsibilities of this position are as follows:

Manage a portfolio of 2-3 hawker centres

Oversee and manage contracts and tenancy agreements signed with operators to ensure compliance and alignment with national hawker policies

Oversee the implementation of initiatives, programmes and activities at the hawker centres and work with operators to improve and refine work processes

Formulate and review operational policies and business continuity plans to ensure effective and efficient management of the centres and operators

Monitor and review performance of operators

Prepare reports, papers and presentation materials as well as present to senior management and stakeholders when required

Manage feedback from feedback providers professionally, including report writing, to ensure that their feedback is being addressed or resolved promptly in accordance with NEA’s service standard

Work with operators to respond to incident-reporting, emergencies or service disruptions within service standards and put up such reports to management in a timely manner

Engage government agencies, partners, and stakeholders such as grassroots leaders, Advisers, operators, and operators’ tenants to implement initiatives and resolve operational issues.

[What we are looking for]

The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:

Enjoy field work and comfortable in market/ hawker centre environment

Prior work experience in project & facilities/ building management, estate/ tenancy management, enforcement, and contracts management would be an advantage

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills and able to maintain composure under challenging circumstances to resolve conflicts

Possesses good analytical, problem-solving and project management skills

Good writing, interpersonal and presentation skills

Resourceful, meticulous and able to multi-task to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Able to work after office hours and on weekends when required

Team player with possession of leadership qualities

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

Valid Class 3 driving licence and possess a car will be an advantage.
