Team overview

The LaSalle Global Solutions (“LaSalle GS”) business is a recently established global business line within LaSalle, managing more than $12 billion of real estate investments invested with local operating partners and managers across the world. LaSalle GS sits alongside LaSalle’s three regional direct private equity business lines. LaSalle GS has approximately 75 people across offices in London, New York, Chicago, Baltimore and Singapore consisting of Real Estate Investment professionals, finance and ‘mid-office’ support. 

LaSalle GS takes a fundamental approach to investment and a relative value approach to global portfolio construction. As a long-term investor, thematic trends are also a focal point. Because we often have the opportunity to invest in both equity and debt, and in listed markets (primarily REIT securities) in addition to unlisted property and fund interests, we have the opportunity to compare asset classes to discern where better values are available. 

Role and Accountabilities:

Work with asset managers to prepare internal quarterly updates; Assist the Fund Manager to prepare quarterly client reports with the guidance of a senior team member.Assist a senior team member to review potential real estate fund of fund/co-investment opportunities in key gateway cities in Asia, including (i) screening; (ii) due diligence and evaluation; (v) financial modelling; and (v) drafting of investment presentations to the Investment Committee.Ensure the document retrieval system is robustly maintained, including contact information, document storage, data capture and updating relevant databases.Provide industry and market research on sectors and countries including monitoring of sector and economic trends, and any other ad-hoc requests as needed.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

Preferably enrolled in a BA/BSc degree course (penultimate or last year), in Finance, Economics, Real Estate or a related field with a strong record of academic achievement.Excellent attention to detail, familiar with real estate valuation and accounting conceptsClear, concise communicator in both verbal and written communications.Resourceful in undertaking research, using a wide range of sources.A commercial mindset and ability to think creatively when it comes to finding opportunities to create or protect the value of a property.Strong interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively.Good attention to detail and organisational skills.Able to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritise as required to meet expectations.Good numeracy and computer skills including MS Excel.Adaptable team player and self-motivated with the ability to operate autonomously when needed.
