About the team
The mission of the TikTok Eng-AI Innovation Center is to explore cutting-edge AGI technologies, including but not limited to LLM, multi-modal LLM (video/image/audio/text/code), etc., to let machine better understand user creations on TikTok platform. Regarding to video/image/audio/text, enhanced content understanding can bring better user experience of searching, recommendation, and can more accurately identify and defend internet abuse and fraud on our platform. Regarding to code, our developed LLM aims to automatically re-organize/optimize TikTok codebase, and make the code/coding become more accessible for TikTok engineers. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Off cycle / Credit bearing - Anytime in 2024 We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit in either internship period. Responsibilities:- Research on LLM Agent paradigms in order to build better performance/low cost/stability agents- Explore cutting-edge technologies related to LLM Agent engineering platform(AgentOps), covering areas such as RAG, Reasoning, Planning, Toolkits, Multi-Agents Coordination- Construct a high-performance, cost-effective large-model agent service architecture that ensures high service availability- Explore the application of frontier LLM agents, like multi-modal video agents, multi-agents coordination on Code AI, etc.Minimum Qualification- PhD or Master with Computer Science or related fields, with 2+ years of research and development experience- Excellent coding ability, data structures, and fundamental algorithm skills, proficient in C/C++ or Python, winners of competitions such as ACM/ICPC, NOI/IOI, Top Coder, Kaggle, etc. are preferred- In-depth research experience in Machine Learning, with a particular emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI Preferred Qualification- Excellent ability to analyze and solve problems, and be passionate about solving challenging problems- Passion for technology, good communication skills- Ideally able to commit 4-5 days/week for minimally 3 months- Preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following qualifications: 1. Experience in developing and deploying LLM agents (Multi-modality Agent, Multi-agents coordination). 2. Experience with LLMs, virtual LLMs pre-training/CT/SFT/RL and evaluation algorithms in NLP/Video/Image; related frameworks (FSDP, DeepSpeed, PEFT).
