Deputy Chief Executive (Corporate) (DCE-Corporate) oversees the A*STAR Corporate Group Divisions, comprising Corporate Communications, Digital Transformation and Innovation, Enterprise Risk Management Office, Finance, Human Resource, Information Technology Shared Services, Legal, Leadership & Organisational Development, Procurement, as well as the Office for Safety, Facilities and Administration.
The Corporate Group Planning Directorate will work with DCE-Corporate in strategic planning, resource planning and management of Corporate Group, as well as the coordination and operations of the Corporate Group Divisions towards the effective and efficient delivery of corporate services to the whole of A*STAR.
The Director will have the opportunity to build exposure and understand the core operations and functions of the Corporate Group and its interactions with the Councils, Research Entities, and other A*STAR Divisions. The Director will also work with different planning functions under A*STAR’s Joint Planning Division and the Corporate Group Divisions to develop a strategic and holistic perspective of how Corporate Group plays a critical role in supporting the A*STAR’s key performers towards achieving A*STAR’s mission and vision.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the work of the Corporate Group Planning Directorate;
- Lead the Strategic Planning function of Corporate Group Planning, and drive organisational transformation across Corporate Group, focusing on the key thrusts of Digitalisation and Innovation, Collaboration, and People Development, with the aim to build a professional and client-centric Corporate Group;
- Work closely with A*STAR stakeholders, including A*STAR senior management, Corporate Group leadership, Councils, Research Entities and other A*STAR Divisions, as well as various Planning Directorates under Joint Planning to formulate and coordinate action plans, align goals, and drive key outcomes for Corporate Group;
- Supervise reviews of governance frameworks, policies and/or processes, which span across and/or between the Corporate Group Divisions, which may include analysis, benchmarking studies, as well as drafting of review papers
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience in areas such as corporate planning, strategic planning, policy and project management
- Possess strong strategic and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills (including both writing and presentations)
- Minimum 4 years of managerial/leadership experience
