This role requires strong familiarity with UK regulatory frameworks, including SRA Standards and Regulations, GDPR, and AML/CTF obligations, as well as Singaporean regulatory requirements under the Legal Profession Act, Law Society of Singapore guidelines, and Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations (UK) and Legal Profession (Professional Conduct) Rules (Singapore).
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes in both jurisdictions and update policies and processes accordingly.
- Draft, review, and implement internal compliance policies to reflect jurisdictional requirements.
- Conduct KYC and AML checks for new and existing clients across both jurisdictions.
- Manage risk assessments for client engagements and ensure enhanced due diligence where required.
- Investigate and escalate suspicious activity in line with UK and Singapore AML/CTF legislation.
- Develop and deliver compliance training sessions for fee earners and support staff.
- Support a culture of compliance and risk awareness across the firm.
- Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory frameworks.
- Prepare compliance and risk reports for senior management and regulators.
- Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and Singapore PDPA in all client and internal data handling.
- Manage incident reporting and remedial action in the event of data breaches.
- Act as the primary contact for regulatory authorities and professional bodies in the UK and Singapore.
- Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, and external reviews.
- Previous experience in a compliance, risk, or regulatory role within a law firm or professional services firm.
- Strong understanding of:

- UK SRA Standards, AML legislation, and GDPR.
- Singapore legal and compliance framework, including AML/CTF regulations, PDPA, and Law Society requirements.
- Proven ability to manage cross-jurisdictional compliance matters.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
