Established in 2002, the Kewal Ramani Foundation (KRF) is the philanthropic arm of a Singapore-based family office. Committed to making a positive impact, KRF collaborates with organisations in the fields of education, health, and the welfare and protection of children and women. One of the programs operating under the auspices of KRF is Her Rise Above, which aims to uplift women by providing them with the necessary resources and opportunities to succeed in their entrepreneurial journey. Through Her Rise Above, KRF aims to foster resilience, independence, and empowerment among women entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds.

HER RISE ABOVE

Her Rise Above is a Singapore-based initiative that supports women, we call Risers, from low-income backgrounds in establishing or expanding their home-based businesses. Our dedicated mentors, known as Guides, provide individualised guidance and support over a 10-week program. We also offer funding opportunities to empower these ambitious women to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

Our mission is to uplift Risers by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed for success. By promoting financial independence through home-based businesses, we contribute to the growth of households and communities. We are proud of our impact and remain committed to fostering economic empowerment for women.

**POSITION**: INTERN, PROGRAM AND OPERATIONS

The Program and Operations Intern at Her Rise Above will have a dynamic role in supporting the program's operations and growth. Reporting to the Senior Manager Program and Grants, the intern will help coordinate, communicate, and engage with stakeholders including Risers, Guides, and other stakeholders. They will also be responsible for maintaining the program’s tech platforms and social media handles. The intern will also assist in identifying partnership opportunities and resources to expand and deepen the impact of Her Rise Above.

This role offers a unique opportunity to create a meaningful impact through the program while gaining valuable experience in program coordination and community engagement. The position can be either full-time or part-time (4 hours x 5 days) on a contractual basis for an initial period of 6 months, with a possibility of extension based on performance evaluation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PROGRAM COORDINATION

Assisting with program coordination, including communicating with Risers, Guides and community and corporate partners

Providing support and resources to help Risers with their home-based businesses; monitoring their progress on a weekly basis.

Assisting with event coordination, logistics, and organising learning opportunities for Risers - particularly during the busy periods of Deepavali and Christmas.

Assisting with volunteer management.

OPERATIONS

Maintaining and managing files and documentation related to the program

Supporting the maintenance of the program's website and managing social media handles; Ensuring smooth operations and updates for Canva, Google Drive, and Shopify

Collecting data for program evaluation and impact analysis.

Performing any other duties assigned by the Senior Manager Programs and Grants and/or Director of Philanthropy
