**About the job**

As a member of the Sembcorp Environment Business Development team, you will work in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams to help sustainably-focused customers manage their resources and shift their operations and products away from linear, extraction-based economies towards the circular use of resources. You will support customers in their sustainable transition and enhance value by:

- Analyzing and proposing holistic solutions that unlock new circular economy opportunities;
- Develop and deliver commercial proposals and presentations to internal and external stakeholders;
- Form strategic partnerships and alliances, public and private, to streamline the waste value chain; and
- Improve existing products and processes by identifying, measuring and monitoring performance.

We’re looking for quick-witted, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious individuals, who can connect the dots and are passionate about driving change in the sustainability space. You will be involved in the work, in the field, not just in a deck of slides. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who is sensitive to the latest developments in the circular economy and decarbonization strategies, delicately balancing the often-conflicting needs of business, government and society, to make circularity work.

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Background in engineering, business
- or technology-related disciplines. Preferably in chemical or mechanical engineering, environmental sciences or engineering, business management, social sciences, with 3-5 years of experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical expertise and insight in circular economy projects and engagements, especially in the areas of decarbonization and zero waste management.
- Respond to changing customer needs to optimize business operations to cut waste and improve resource efficiency.
- Cast an independent and fresh eye on products and processes, and reinvent them to turn sustainability into a competitive advantage.
- Identify and network with potential strategic partners/agencies that complement Sembcorp Environment’s strengths to develop and scale innovative solutions that demonstrates thought leadership in decarbonization and circular economy transformation.
- (Technology-specific) Lead market research and intelligence efforts on competitive landscape, and explore closed-loop technological solutions in waste.
