**Title**:
Senior Commercial Manager

Actively supports the consistent implementation of the Project Commercial Risk Management Strategy (for the Project and/or Business Unit, as applicable) during pre-award, post-award project execution and project closeout phases. Works cross-functionally to identify and analyze risks and opportunities and the related mitigations and actions, develop and implement risk/opportunity management controls and contingency/exploitation plans, and ensure contract compliance, overall commercial integrity, and cost and schedule certainty for the benefit of the pursuit/project. This position may be domestic or international and may include both home office and field assignments.

**Responsibilities**:
- Work within the pursuit team to develop the contracting philosophy, including the risk ownership/allocation strategy, for the prime contract, major subcontracts and major purchase orders, and plan/lead this activity where appropriate

Day to day management of all non-technical project activities such that the Project Manager is consistently provided with accurate, timely and relevant information

Develop and implement the Project Commercial Risk Management Strategy and proactively engage with all project level functions and the client to identify potential threats and opportunities and produce, update, maintain and report the Project Risk and Opportunity Register accordingly

Schedule and host Project Risk and Opportunity Register Reviews for all stakeholders, in line with the project schedule and Project Commercial Risk Management Strategy, and the Business Unit Reporting requirements

Develop and manage Project Commercial Management Strategy for prime contract and subcontract administration

Active engagement in the production of estimates with particular regard to accurate and appropriate risk funding

Drive the utilization of Execution Risk Memos to identify/quantify out of sequence work plans caused by aggressive schedule driven project targets

Develop and implement change management processes and procedures

Participate in negotiation of key subcontracts and purchase orders, including agreement of appropriate flow downs and other risk and compensation provisions

Draft required notifications and other additional contract documents

Develop a claims narrative and position the Project for claims submissions, coordinating with subcontracts and procurement, legal and third party specialists as required to effectively manage claims for the benefit of the Project

Conduct reviews to ensure project is working within established contractual commercial terms and financial targets

Monitor project’s cost trends and schedule performance, cash flow, billings, and related financial items, and provide direction to the project leadership team for improvement of project financial performance

Develop, or assist with the development of, Commercial Risk Management Training and orientation for project personnel and other members of the Commercial Risk Management function

Provide input to Commercial Risk Management tools and learning resources, and Commercial Risk Management policies and procedures

Identify and collate specific projects lessons learned and best practices and feed back to Commercial Risk Management functional management

**Job Requirements**:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Law, Finance, Management, or Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), required.

Minimum 15 years’ relevant experience (including at least 5 years managing a team) working with contractors, subcontractors and/or owners on USD multi-million Hydrocarbon and/or Government Services projects

Prior hands-on experience and team management in at least two of the areas of; risk management, project controls, contract administration, subcontracts, procurement, accounting and finance, business development and/or project management is required

Experience of the entire project life cycle is essential in acquiring the knowledge necessary for effective risk identification and management. Field/project assignments for EPC, PMC, Services and/or Government Services projects is required.

Good written verbal and communication skills, and quantitative and analytical skills

A Team Manager with the ability to plan, manage and coordinate commercial risk management team activities to achieve deadlines and deliver (internal and external) customer satisfaction
