- Unravel was founded in Q4/2021 with headquarters in Singapore.**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Unravel Carbon is on the lookout for a Vice President of Data Science and Engineering. You will create meaningful solutions for our customers by defining, developing, and improving algorithms and analytical models across all our platforms, current and envisioned. You will work closely with product and operations teams to support and enhance our data-driven culture. Mentoring and coaching our team of data scientists, engineers, product and analysts, you will empower Unravel with a strategic architectural vision designed to support our evolving data-centric product portfolio.

**Responsibilities**

As the Vice President, Engineering and Data Science, you will:

- Providing technical leadership to all engineering & data science and development area
- Developing and executing an engineering & data science strategy for the company
- Leveraging data to help the business answer questions around further expansion, products, customer acquisition/retention/churn and any other business goals that can be addressed through data insights
- Leading the development and implementation of new product features
- Managing and mentoring a team of engineers & data scientists
- Recommending technological developments and improvements in inefficiency
- Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders

**ABOUT YOU**
- Experience in leading a team of engineers & data scientists
- Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to develop quality teams.
- Previous working experience in software design and developing customer-oriented platforms.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management

**YOUR PREFERRED BACKGROUND
PhD/Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operation Research, Computer Science or equivalent, or 10 years working experience in engineers & data scientists role within SaaS/Tech.
