Manager, Operations

**THE ROLE**:
The Manager of Operations is responsible for planning and carrying out a variety of activities to produce SEMICON Southeast and other events including managing facility, budget, vendors, and onsite operations. The manager will recommend and implement best practices to ensure timely execution of show operations in a cost-effective manner.
- This is a full-time position and reports to the President, SEMI SEA at SEMI Southeast Asia office.**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:
You are a detail-oriented, multi-tasking, flexible individual who can monitor multiple responsibilities at once and adapt to new processes and technologies. You can establish strategies based on analyses of budgets, staffing, and client satisfaction and are eager to make improvements. You are team-oriented and can lead team members to adapt to the new processes and technologies. You have the people skills needed to create trusting relationships with all stakeholders including internal team, visitors, exhibitors, and vendors.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Coordinate all events and exposition logistics **- work with internal and external stakeholders to plan, produce and manage annual SEMICON Southeast Asia exhibition and other events. Evaluate, streamline, and standardize workflow to increase process consistency and effective use of resources. Partner with SEMI HQ to ensure global expo operations standards and best practices.
- **Manage overall show operations’ budgets**:

- ensure show projects are completed within budget and meet the gross margin target.
- **Improve customers experience**:

- Develop and execute strategies for increasing attendees (exhibitors and visitors) satisfaction based on analyses of client satisfaction surveys. Launch and manage Exhibitor Engagement Program. Manage VIP contacts satisfaction based on analyses of client satisfaction surveys.
- **Support Sales & Sponsorship fulfilment**:

- Manage floor plans and special exhibit areas - closely coordinate exhibition plan with marketing functions to optimize exhibit and sponsorship sales. Initiate new show features that give the events and the SEMI brand a refreshing, exciting and contemporary look and feel.
- **Ensure global alignment**:

- Keep good communication with HQ and regional office’s show departments. Ensure global alignment in show experience, operations, and branding.

- You have helped maximize SEMICON Southeast booth inventory revenue and gross margin.
- You have helped SEMI enhance its membership value by providing members the tools and conferences they need to capture more business and a reason to return next year.
- You have established the dependable, professional relationships needed with vendors, exhibitors, and other program stakeholders necessary to create a strong event.
- You have created an organized, easy to navigate environment fostering positive attendee experiences **.

**FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE**:

- B.S./B.A. or equivalent working experience in appropriate discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience working in an exhibition, conference, and/or event environment
- Experience managing vendors from bid to selection to execution
- Excellent computer skills - especially Office, floor planning and event registration systems
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities
- International business or experience is a plus
