**Description**

The Regional Distribution Leader is a key member of the GRM East Region leadership team and is ultimately responsible for closely partnering with the regional team and market distribution leaders in the GRM East markets (China, India, Malaysia and Asia MCM - comprised of Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) to identify, plan and drive the execution of the regional distribution strategy and related local strategic distribution initiatives, in alignment with overall GRM strategy.

This role effectively interacts and maintains relationships with key stakeholders and Distribution leaders across GRM East, GRM US and GRM West, and will report directly to the GRM East Regional COO while managing a small team of senior individual contributors, within a complex matrix structure.

The book of business (including AmGeneral) for the region that this role will have oversight of out $1.7B Gross Written Premium, and the main distribution channels in order of size are agents, brokers, dealerships and direct.

**Responsibilities**
- Acts as key relationship manager and point of contact for our biggest regional partners.

Provide strategic consulting insights and challenge to the GRM East Distribution teams, leveraging the expertise of the broader global, regional, and local functional leadership members to drive operational excellence across all markets and ensure they deliver profitable growth, ease of doing business and a consistent, high quality customer experience.
- Develop a regional Distribution strategy, including cultivation of strong multi-channel strategies, in collaboration with the local markets, including business case development, KPI’s, project management and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Expand Distribution capabilities through NPS Best Practices, KPI’s, analytics, capability building, and continuous improvements with a CX focused mindset. Consistently bringing to market solutions that exceed customer expectations, improve processes, and achieve target returns.
- Partner with local leaders in annual distribution planning process and align global standards and ensure consistent approach for initiative planning, financial impact & resourcing needs.
- Oversee key East Regional distribution initiatives to address key issues and opportunities across the markets. Provide recommendations to senior leadership and adjust the strategy where applicable.

**Qualifications**
- 15+ years’ experience in a distribution management role focused on insurance, finance, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of channel strategy, business goals, planning and all other distribution areas. Extensive knowledge of Distribution in the GRM US & East region is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, strategic, project management, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively influence at all levels of the organization and optimize the diversity dimensions that exist is the team to drive better business results.
- High emphasis on integrity and compliance with all global, regional, and local regulations, policies, and protocols.
- Courage to challenge and make difficult decisions and push through uncomfortable situations.
- Proficient in English. Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese are nice to have.
- Ability to travel internationally (40%-50% of the time).
