**About our group**:
**The Purchasing Team is made up of 6 buyers who support RMO (Recording Media Operations) at our Woodlands plants. The buyer team purchases indirect materials to support factory operations including items/services such as Production/Laboratories Equipment, Contract/Facilities Services, Production materials, Maintenance Spares, IT software/hardware, etc.These teams work together to form the focal support to the business.**:***:
**About the role - you will**:

- Responsible for activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement of Capital Equipment, materials, parts, components, goods, and services.
- Typical duties: Manages the day-to-day placement of purchase orders and ensures delivery of goods and services are in accordance with needs.
- Manages day-to-day relationships with suppliers. Coordinates purchasing activities with internal engineering and manufacturing departments to ensure that materials in the supply chain are available as scheduled and inventory are maintained at minimum acceptable levels.
- Responsible for sourcing items, and negotiations (not covered by Commodity Management). Monitors the cost, schedule, and performance aspects of contracts. Achieve cost savings with Supplier purchases and good problem-solving skills.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Able to work effectively when urgent needs arise under short notice.

**Your experience includes**:

- 10 years of vendor management & purchasing experience in related industries
- Competence in Microsoft software and good computer skills.
- Familiar with Oracle Software would be preferred
