A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR ID Labs) is seeking for a Research Fellow to join us in our mission to be a leading centre of infectious diseases research. A*STAR ID Labs aims to develop a cohesive A*STAR response to drive and deliver translational infectious diseases research to better health and economic outcomes.

To focus on bridging the knowledge gap of vector-pathogen-host interactions in mosquito-borne disease transmission.
To understand the immune and pathogenic mechanisms during mosquito borne-virus infection to guide the development of targeted and effective control and treatment strategies
Work with patient cohorts and relevant models (both in vitro and in vivo) of infectious disease
Plan, schedule, co-ordinate, and lead multiple industry/research projects
Design and conduct experiments including analyse, interpret, and present scientific results
Conduct presentations to research collaborators and industry partners
Develop new research techniques and approaches
Work independently and with collaborators to develop new research ideas

**Job Requirements**:
PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry or related field
Experience with cell culture and organoid models, mouse models, animal studies, cell biology, flow cytometry, cellular and molecular techniques, microscopy, handling with BSL-2 and BSL-3 pathogens will be an asset
Experience with industry project management
Strong background in Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Genomics
