Cybersecurity Research Fellow

Imperial College London – National Research Foundations Campus (CREATE) – Singapore Imperial Global Singapore (IGS) is seeking (Senior) Research Fellows for the Imperial/NTU IN‐CYPHER Cyber Protection for Healthcare programme. The programme brings together the United Kingdom and Singapore to secure connected medical devices and systems in the healthcare environment. Fellows will be based at IGS, a research division of Imperial College London located on the campus of the National University of Singapore. Key Responsibilities Plan, conduct and translate fundamental research aligned with the IN‐CYPHER programme. Develop and apply techniques for analysing data and securing embedded medical devices. Maintain precise records, uphold scientific integrity and participate in all programme activities. Publish high‐quality refereed journal papers and present findings at conferences. Collaborate with clinical, translation and research partners to translate ideas into real‐world impact. Contribute to grant writing, funding acquisition and programme administration. Supervise undergraduate interns, postgraduate research students and research assistants. Comply with IGS policies, including confidentiality, data protection, equal opportunities and health & safety. Qualifications Education PhD (or equivalent) in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics or a closely related field; (E)Experience 2–5 years post‐doctoral research in a field related to the IN‐CYPHER themes; (E)Publications in relevant refereed journals; (E)Experience in cybersecurity engineering, secure communication protocols, threat modelling, network traffic analysis or cryptography; (E)Industrial experience in high‐stakes domains such as hospitals and interdisciplinary research; (D)Experience supervising undergraduate and/or graduate projects; (D)Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 27001, ISO 14971, NIST 800‐53, 800‐30 and 800‐53/FI; (E)Knowledge & Skills Research methods, statistical procedures and data analysis; (E)Computational modelling techniques for themes 2 and 3; (E)Communication skills – written and verbal – for scientific publications and stakeholder engagement; (E)Ability to lead a small research team, prioritise tasks and work independently; (E)Assiduous, disciplined and confidential handling of sensitive data; (E)Willingness to travel within Singapore, the UK and other destinations for research dissemination; (D)Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required by project deadlines; (D)Other Considerations Willingness to attend IGS training and comply with safety and confidentiality requirements. Employment Details Position based in Singapore at the NATIONAL RESEARCH FOUNDATIONS CAMPUS. Candidates must be resident and based in Singapore.
