Job summary
**Background on Amazon Global Selling**: The Marketplace or “Selling on Amazon” business exists in 13 countries and exceeds 50% of total Amazon unit sales and growing. Each year, tens of thousands of businesses join the marketplace adding millions of new products. Our vision is to offer customers Earth’s largest selection. The Thailand team leader will deliver on this vision by identifying potential Thai seller leads and successfully marketing to these leads to bring their product selection to Amazon’s global marketplaces.
**Background on this role**: Amazon’s vision is to offer the earth’s largest product selection and lowest prices for our customers. One way we deliver on this vision is by recruiting and launching Sellers onto the platform and maximizing the quantity of items that they list while ensuring the highest quality of product images and information. We need a leader who understands and can communicate to Singapore Sellers the unique benefits of Amazon’s global marketplaces, can utilize innovation to craft methods of reaching prospective SG Sellers and informing them of the benefits of selling globally with Amazon, and who can construct local marketing programs and tools to drive improvements in global participation by sellers in Singapore with the ultimate goal of making all Sellers global Sellers.
Key job responsibilities
**The key strategic objectives for this role include**:
- Analyze opportunities and develop and implement account management strategies and business plans to grow selection from SG based Sellers
- Train and coach sales team to identify, qualify, and engage with prospective sellers for the Amazon Business Marketplace while creating a clear value proposition of selling to business customers on Amazon, along with the features and functionality
- Build a strong team of Sales, Account Management and Integration talent
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Legal, Tax, Seller Performance, and Seller Support on gating, product quality, reporting, and compliance
- Drive Seller success as measured by lead generation, adoption, performance, year-over-year growth and profitability
- Build strong communication channels at all levels of the Seller’s organization, set proper expectations, provide clear status communications, and manage towards a growth plan
- Implement and track metrics for recording the success and quality of the sellers in Singapore. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity
- Participate in periodic business reviews with Amazon Executive Leadership
- Experience leading large diverse organizations and functions to deliver consistent results
- Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. In particular, identifying customer (buying and selling) needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs
- Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-moving and changing environment
- High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
- Successful experience in hiring, people development, and managing large multi-level teams
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that will enable you to earn trust at all levels
- Strong attention to detail and desire to roll up your sleeves
- Experience delivering software or online products to market
