Director of Marketing Communications

**Scope of Position**:
As the Director of Marketing Communications, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, execution, and budget control of the hotel's annual marketing and communications strategy. You will oversee all aspects of the marketing and communications plan, including media relations, digital marketing, consumer relationship management, social media, advertising, brand identity, and collateral production, as well as any other marketing activities necessary for fully integrated campaigns. Your ultimate goal will be to ensure that the hotel's marketing efforts are optimized to generate maximum exposure and revenue while maintaining a consistent and positive brand image.
**Responsibilities**:
**Brand Identity**
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the hotel’s brand identity across all outlets.
- Oversee the production of brand identity materials, marketing collateral and new promotional materials.
- Ensure compliance with MOHG CID guidelines for all promotional materials.
**Strategy**
- Work with the Regional Brand Director to create a compelling and unique brand story that successfully positions the property in the local market, resonates with the target audience, and differentiates it from its competitors.
- Support the growth of World of Fans through the implementation of strategic brand messaging and initiatives, such as Wellness, Sustainability, and new ventures and expansions of MOHG.
- Promote the Exceptional Living brand positioning and make it relevant to the Singapore market.
- Ensure that customer centricity and insight guide all decision-making processes.
- Establish meaningful, impactful, and relationship-driven partnerships with external agencies.
**Advertising**
- Oversee the reconciliation of the budget for MOHG's International Advertising Campaign (IAC).
- Oversee all aspects of the hotel's annual advertising plan, from planning to implementation, including coordinating with MOHG's brand department on matters related to creative and media planning.
- Ensure that all advertising materials comply with MOHG CID guidelines.
**Public Relations**
- Act as Brand Ambassador, both internally and externally.
- Represent the hotel as a spokesperson when appropriate.
- Develop and implement a PR strategy that positions the hotel as one of the top destinations in the local, national, and international media, highlighting its unique selling points and MOHG's competitive advantages.
- Implement tactical media relations activities in line with the hotel’s business needs and objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with MOHG's international PR network and corporate communications team to maximize the reach of initiatives.
- Proactively and reactively secure regular exposure for the hotel in local and international media through print, online, radio, and television channels.
- Manage the hotel’s Press Office:
- Maintain strong relationships with local and international media.
- Develop and write newsworthy and creative press releases to pitch to appropriate media.
- Create bespoke itineraries and host all local and international media visits.
- Draft Q&As and fully brief senior management for media activity.
- Keep press kit and photographic library updated.
- Direct crisis communications in consultation with MOHG Corporate Communications team.
- Produce hotel’s monthly public relations reports for Group Communications.
**Social Media**
- Develop, manage and monitor the hotel’s social media channel strategy.
- Ensure that the social media presence is strong and consistent across all platforms and that it creatively aligns with the hotel's brand identity and values.
- Work with the global digital marketing team to identify and execute paid social media campaigns that engage both global staying guests and local audiences for F&B and Spa.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends to ensure that the hotel's strategy remains relevant and effective.
**Customer Relationship Management**
- Maintain frequent contact with the hotel’s guests and clients through direct marketing activities.
- Develop a comprehensive annual direct marketing plan.
- Establish, maintain and expand the hotel’s database.
- Forge strategic brand partnerships with relevant luxury, lifestyle, and arts and cultural brands.
- Oversee consumer events as required.
**Photography / Videography**
- Plan, organise and oversee all photography and videography sessions for the hotel to ensure the right assets are in place for media, digital and collateral use. These include major collateral photography, food and beverage shots and press release photos.
- Organise photography for VIP visits, exhibitions and social functions.
**Digital Marketing / E-Commerce**
- Ensure that the hotel's website features up-to-date, brand-appropriate copy.
- Liaise with relevant corporate and property colleagues to update the hotel site regularly.
