The Director of Marketing and Communications, Asia Pacific (AP) is an integral part of the AP resource mobilisation and engagement leadership team and global marketing and communications function. They are instrumental in advancing TNC’s 2030 goals through communications that engage and excite influential audiences. Working closely with TNC leaders, they will lead a diverse and enthusiastic marketing and communications team across multiple locations in the region to develop and implement strategies that align with the overall goals of TNC Asia Pacific’s strategic plan.
The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific develops and implements an integrated, efficient, and effective marketing and communications strategy to help achieve the organization’s 2030 goals. They operates within a highly matrixed structure, coordinating with country, regional and global TNC teams to ensure that marketing and communications efforts are strategically aligned across diverse geographical and cultural landscapes. They manage a team that creates, manages, and implements key marketing initiatives designed to drive and advance marketing strategies in key public-facing markets that build awareness and engagement, influence conservation action, and achieve revenue goals. They collaborate closely with business unit leaders within the region, including executive leadership and marketing and communications leads from multiple countries to ensure delivery of an integrated regional marketing and communications strategy. They align staff efforts to match priorities set by executive leadership. They manage the budget and operational delivery of branding and engagement goals and conservation strategies.
The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific works closely with and manages relations with internal key stakeholders including senior management, internal teams, donors, and external key stakeholders and partners to achieve regional goals. They may be responsible for presenting analysis and recommendations to Trustees and AP Council members.
The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific leads communication and marketing efforts for both internal and external audiences, including integrated themes, consistent messaging, compelling campaigns, and collateral materials. Duties include:
- Designs, directs, and manages a coordinated marketing and communications strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, overseeing multiple complex and diverse programs or projects—including but not limited to strategic brand development, digital marketing, earned and social media strategy, events strategy, executive thought leadership and crisis communications.
- Collaborates with senior marketing leadership on regional and global levels to synthesize core TNC marketing initiatives for optimal performance in Asia Pacific markets.
- Drives efforts to obtain, create, store in an easily accessible and useful format, manage and disseminate content from country programs around individual project and campaign themes.
- Facilitates cooperation and collaboration, as appropriate, across the various AP teams in pursuit of marketing and communications objectives.
- Develops best practices, standardized metrics, organizational consistency, and branding continuity in communications across the region.
- Integrates effectively with the organizations central Marketing and Communications division.
**RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE**
AP & Global Collaboration:
- Collaborate with TNC leaders, internal and external key stakeholders, including executive leadership and internal teams, donors, and volunteers to achieve regional goals.
- Work closely with senior marketing leadership on regional and global levels to synthesize core TNC marketing initiatives for optimal performance in the AP market.
- Provide strategic leadership in managing a decentralized but integrated marketing and communications structure across the Asia Pacific region.
- Facilitate collaboration across the various AP teams to fulfill marketing and communications objectives.
