Strategic Finance

A newly created role, the **Strategic Finance - Specialist / Senior Specialist (FP&A) **will be a high-impact role in our Finance Team, responsible for facilitating the development and growth in Castlery.

In this role you will be part of a dedicated and highly focused FP&A team, your role will be to provide financial analysis, render data-backed support to senior stakeholders & identifying critical business factors to help shape Castlery's strategic and business decision making. This role will have a direct impact on supporting the company's growth, insights into our performance and identifying areas for improvement. This role will be reporting to our Finance Manager - FP&A with collaboration with our Head of FP&A / Co-founder.

Your expertise will help align our financial strategies with our business goals, leading to tangible, impactful results that support our mission.

**What you'll be doing**

**Strategic Business Partnering**:

- **Strategic Financial Support**: Act as a key support partner, enhancing operational and financial performance across the company. Assist in identifying and analyzing key business drivers, incorporating risk assessments and market trends into adaptable financial forecasts. Your role is vital in ensuring that insights lead to tangible actions and measurable results, supporting critical decisions grounded in comprehensive financial analysis and aligned with our strategic goals.
- **Collaborative Financial Planning**: Foster cross-functional collaboration during the budgeting and forecasting processes. By challenging assumptions and validating data, you'll help ensure our financial plans are grounded yet forward-looking, aligning with Castlery's strategic vision.
- **Initiative Oversight**: Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives, evaluating their impact against our targets. Your oversight will help ensure that our projects align with and advance our organizational objectives.
- **Process Optimization**: Support initiatives to streamline finance processes, leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) tools to enhance efficiency and insight. Your efforts will improve our financial operations and empower decision-makers with actionable data.

**Reporting and Analysis**:

- **Insightful Financial Reporting**: Assist in crafting and delivering monthly management reports that go beyond the numbers to offer deep profitability analyses and business insights. Your reports will serve as a cornerstone for data-driven decision-making, illuminating paths to growth and efficiency.
- **Proactive Analysis**:Conduct forward-looking analyses, including project evaluations and benchmarking, to shed light on strategic opportunities and challenges.
- **Collaboration for Accuracy**: Work closely with the wider Finance team and cross-functional teams to refine reporting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Your collaborative efforts will ensure our financial policies are not only adhered to but also optimized for clarity and compliance.

**What you'll need**

**Educational and Professional Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance, with professional accreditation (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) advantageous.
- 3-5 years of FP&A experience in a private company setting.

**Technical Skills and Personal Attributes**
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of effectively collecting, organizing, and interpreting data to make robust conclusions and drive strategic decisions.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, along with the confidence and integrity to challenge conventional thinking and advocate for best practices and improvements.
- An inclusive and collaborative working style, with a focus on valuing diverse perspectives and fostering a team environment.
- Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Netsuite) and proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) for comprehensive data management and analysis.

**Industry Experience**
- Prior experience in sectors such as Retail, E-commerce, B2C, and Logistics, especially within US and Australian markets, is advantageous.
