Crop Scientist

As a member of the Sciences team, you will develop crop analytics using primarily computer vision coupled with other data sources to increase the accuracy and throughput of plant phenotyping. You will work with the engineering and software teams to develop data acquisition methodology and data stream to enable crop analytics. You will contribute to the high accuracy in crop monitoring, early detection of crop issues, and predictive capabilities, effectively becoming a useful tool for urban farmers to monitor their crops and minimise crop losses from detrimental events.
- What we Expect from you?
- Develop image analytics algorithms (image processing, AI/ML) to identify and quantify crop phenotypes e.g. plant growth, pest and disease incidents, and other anomalies
- Collaborate with sciences, software, and engineering teams to develop data acquisition methodology and corresponding data pipeline
- Develop, test, and evaluate data or AI models to predict outcomes that can be integrated into farm production, providing early warnings and minimising productivity losses
- Conduct technical due diligence and validate emerging technology
- Requirements
- Degree/Masters/PhD in Sciences, Data Analytics, Statistics or related fields
- Experience in using Python and its image processing libraries e.g. OpenCV, matplotlib, and its data analysis libraries e.g. NumPy, Pandas
- Experience in Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Experience in databases e.g. MYSQL
- Experience in pattern recognition, image analysis, semi-supervised learning and hypothesis testing

**Digital Marketing Communications Executive**:
This role will be an integral part of the business development team and will work with other members of staff across the other departments. This position will be focused mainly on digital marketing efforts, with occasional offline marketing thrown in from time to time.
- What we Expect from you?- Create effective marketing campaigns that produce results on different channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, SEO, YouTube, website etc. to promote our products and services.
- Develop and execute social media strategy, consumer engagement initiatives and maximize brand visibility across different online platforms.
- Develop and implement a plan to generate leads from Facebook Ads, Google AdWords and other paid marketing channels from third parties.
- Optimize digital advertisement spending
- Write and edit both internal and external marketing materials/communications such as product collaterals, presentations, website, EDMs and social media contents and announcements.
- Monitor performance of all digital activities and report in a timely manner for post-campaign analysis and results
- Conduct research on market trends, brand’s audiences and competitors, and end-to-end consumer journey to drive conversions

**Engineering Technician**:
As an Engineering Technician, you will be supporting the implementation of novel farming systems that improve operational efficiency and farm performance. Capabilities in electrical and mechanical works are needed for this role. As a member of the engineering team, you will collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop systems that will revolutionise agriculture. Your tasks include repair, install, replacement, and servicing various systems and equipment.
- What we Expect from you?- Provide system installation and servicing at customer site and or in-house.
- Perform servicing (maintenance), repairing (troubleshooting) and replacement
- Identify safety hazards and propose corrective action
- Tally and check the conditions of parts and accessories
- Support field technical and engineering activities
- Liaise with logistics team for delivery of goods
- Assisting in any other operational work
- Requirements- Possess Min. Certificate / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in electrical/mechanical
- Able to carry out trouble shooting and minor repairs
