Agronomist Intern

As a member of the Sciences team, your main role will be to provide consultancy services to client farms, helping them to overcome production issues. You will evaluate different aspects of farm production to troubleshoot the production issues, propose and implement solutions while taking into account client farms’ limitations.
- What we Expect from you?
- Provide consultancy services to client farms on crop production issues and troubleshoot them by considering various aspects of crop production e.g. lighting, climate, nutrient, pest management, supply chain management, workflow etc.
- Conduct in-depth data collection and analysis to identify potential causes for production issues and propose solutions after consideration of practical limitations
- Design and conduct experiments and field trials to validate the efficacy of proposed solutions.
- Design efficient monitoring frameworks to improve client farm’s performance
- Train client stakeholders on good farming practices and skills
- Requirements
- At least 6 months of internship period
- Knowledge of life science or physical science
- Possess higher level thinking skills to develop hypotheses and solutions in a dynamic environment
- Able to research on new information independently including literature review, design experiments and solve problems using scientific methods
- Prior experience in horticulture not required, but must be motivated and keen to learn on the job
