Financial Analyst

Join the team to develop and implement strategies to establish the largest network of urban farms in Asia. You will work closely with the finance and commercial team to grow the business by establishing new farms, forming strategic partnerships, and developing investment opportunities.
- What we Expect from you?
- Develop financial models to provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management for decision making
- Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
- Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting for projects and investor reporting
- Calculating the cost of capital expenditures and assessing the appropriateness of investment decisions based on company policies
- Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to a senior management
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
- Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes together with the Accounting team
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Proven 1-2 years relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or other related fields
- Proven knowledge of corporate finance and business forecasting with strong knowledge of accounting standards
- Good presentation, reporting and communication skills
- Excellent command of English (spoken & written)
- High level of integrity and ethics

**Software Engineer**:

- What we Expect from you?- Designing page wireframes/layouts and custom graphics, formatting content, quality assurance testing, translating wireframes to web-apps to be used by our own staff
- Improving current IoT infrastructure for our indoor farm
- Working with external collaborators to integrate modules into our web-apps
- Developing APIs for IoT components to interact with
- Requirements- Diploma in relevant computing programmes
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must demonstrate good communications skills
- Demonstrated skills in software design & development
- Comfortable with Unix command line (eg Linux)
- Some experience in NodeJS, MySQL, MongoDB, HTML
- Working knowledge of JQuery, Bootstrap

**Part-time/Intern Positions**:
**Agronomist Intern**:
As a member of the Sciences team, your main role will be to provide consultancy services to client farms, helping them to overcome production issues. You will evaluate different aspects of farm production to troubleshoot the production issues, propose and implement solutions while taking into account client farms’ limitations.
- What we Expect from you?- Provide consultancy services to client farms on crop production issues and troubleshoot them by considering various aspects of crop production e.g. lighting, climate, nutrient, pest management, supply chain management, workflow etc.
- Conduct in-depth data collection and analysis to identify potential causes for production issues and propose solutions after consideration of practical limitations
- Design and conduct experiments and field trials to validate the efficacy of proposed solutions.
- Design efficient monitoring frameworks to improve client farm’s performance
- Train client stakeholders on good farming practices and skills
- Requirements- At least 6 months of internship period
- Knowledge of life science or physical science
- Possess higher level thinking skills to develop hypotheses and solutions in a dynamic environment
- Able to research on new information independently including literature review, design experiments and solve problems using scientific methods
- Prior experience in horticulture not required, but must be motivated and keen to learn on the job

- Knowledge/experience in plant physiology, plant pathology and farm operations
