[What the role is]

[What you will be working on]

As the Deputy Director of the Centre for Animal Rehabilitation (CAR) under the Professional and Scientific Services (PSS) Division, you will oversee the operations and team at the Centre.

Your job scope as Deputy Director includes:

- Oversight of community animal programmes, including animal care, veterinary care, rehabilitation, and rehoming operations; planning and budgeting, process review, management of inventory and contract services, data management and analysis, facility maintenance, workplace health and safety, compliance with ISO and SOPs
- Lead a team including managers, veterinarians and veterinary technicians, animal care staff across multiple facilities
- Plan and oversee research projects
- Assist with other animal-related programmes and initiatives taken by the branch

[What are we looking for]
- Degree in the fields of biology, animal science or veterinary medicine preferred.
- Enjoy working with and able to work well with animals.
- Relevant working experience in vet clinic, shelter management, animal care or husbandry is preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills, independent, self-motivated, positive, meticulous and enthusiastic.
- Able to lead and work effectively with others in a team environment.
- Good written/ oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office Applications.
