DESIGNATION : Deputy Director (Estate Management)

RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Deputy Director to join us and lead the Estate Management unit, which oversees the management, maintenance and rectification of architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems across the Gardens. You will also be expected to oversee the asset management process of the Gardens.

You will strategise and oversee the physical planning, facilities management and horticulture-related projects of Gardens by the Bay. These include managing design reviews, project management, procurement, implementation of infrastructure projects, facilities management and operational planning. You will establish strong partnerships with professional stakeholders to facilitate enhancement and maintenance work.

Positioning as a Garden for the future, a world leader in environmental engineering and sustainability; you will also be called upon to source for innovative and cutting-edge technologies; both to support the Gardens’ operational work as well as to introduce new edutainment attractions to delight our visitors as a horticultural and landscape wonder.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience leading a team in an operational environment / industry
- Good knowledge in construction, facilities, maintenance and asset management
- Keen eye for innovation and aesthetics to support the Gardens’ longer term goals as an international themed attraction
- Excellent management, supervisory, communication and leadership skills as well as ability to lead teams of diverse professionals to drive our core business as a horticultural attraction going forward
