The D. E. Shaw group seeks an exceptionally detail-oriented, independent, proactive, and resourceful individual to manage operations and support members of its Singapore office. What you’ll do day-to-day
Your primary responsibilities will include handling office management functions, liaising with internal business units and external parties, coordinating complex schedules and logistics, arranging travel and events, and providing general administrative assistance. You’ll also play an important role in fostering a collegial office culture built on cooperation and accountability, while collaborating with colleagues across our offices in Asia, Europe, and North America.
Who we’re looking for
The ability to work effectively with senior-level staff and handle confidential information with the utmost discretion is a must, as is sound judgment, proven analytical capabilities, keen attention to detail, and exceptional interpersonal, facilitation, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
Applicants should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborate productively with teammates and stakeholders, and push projects forward on their own.
A high degree of flexibility to adapt to new responsibilities is required, along with the creativity to develop and implement innovative solutions to a variety of processes, and a readiness to step in wherever needed.
As the role requires frequent interaction with our global colleagues and stakeholders from the U.S., Hong Kong, and Mainland China, fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
