[What the role is]
Muis is initiating the development of a higher educational institution as part of the larger plans to strengthen the education and training opportunities for Singapore’s Islamic scholars and teachers. The higher education institution is envisioned to offer both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and we seek a dynamic individual with experience in higher education administration, to join us.

[What you will be working on]

**Key Function**:
The officer will be tasked to oversee and manage employability skills curriculum components of the Postgraduate Certificate in Islam in Contemporary Societies (PCICS) programme and the bachelors degree programme of the Singapore College of Islamic Studies (SCIS).

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Capstone Administration and Standards Management**:

- Create capstone project opportunities in collaboration with partners.
- Conduct introductory sessions for students’ understanding of capstone requirements.
- Establish an effective supervision system for all capstone projects.
- Oversee advisor and assessor appointments, including briefings and conducting monthly check-ins with advisors to ensure project alignment.
- Procure and coordinate provision of support programmes (e.g. skills workshops, mentoring etc.)
- Review and implement enhancements to overall Capstone curriculum.

**Skills Workshops Management**:

- Manage the Skills Workshops curriculum requirement of the PCICS (i.e. Capstone Functional Skills Workshops, English Academic Writing, Introduction to Training & Education, and Self-Paced E-Learning Workshops.)
- Oversee the administrative aspects of the workshop including student registration, grade management, and attendance.
- Liaise with vendors for the implementation of the workshops such as scheduling, invoicing, and management of lesson materials via the learning portal.
- Review and implement enhancements to overall Skills Workshops curriculum.

**Other administrative responsibilities which may include**:

- Involvement in undergraduate curriculum development, with a focus on skills development
- Creation of challenge-based projects for the undergraduate programme (may be aligned to the creation of capstone project opportunities)
- Secretariat duties (note-taking, presentations, agenda-setting and scheduling)
- Management of internal and external stakeholders to achieve the programme’s goals.
- Coordinate assessments, collect data and conduct evaluations of the curriculum to measure its effectiveness.

[ What we are looking for ]
- Tertiary education in Education or related field
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
- Familiarity with capstone project management is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s Islamic education and/or Higher Education landscape would be an advantage.
