General Manager

The role of General Manager for Underdog would be that of leading the team and
business operations to succeed via strategy, motivation and productivity. You will oversee all staffing, budgets and operations of the business. Guided by the company CEO (Jay Gray). The success of the business will ultimately come down to your leadership and decision making skills (no pressure). To be successful in this role you will need to be thoughtful, empathetic to your team and your guests as well as a confident decision maker. You will need to make decisions that help your team grow and the business in kind.
**Your Role**
- To oversee day to day operations
- Design proactive growth strategies for the team and business
- Ensure bar/kitchen/venue budgets are met and optimise where needed
- Set and enforce policies and processes
- Manage teams growth and education
- Oversee recruitment of employees
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Oversee reporting to ownership
- Be a problem solving machine
**Requirements**:
- Recognised culinary or hospitality degree/diploma preferred.
- At least 3 years of working experience as a GM of similar capacity.
- Extensive food and wine knowledge
- Computer literacy & Familiarity with restaurant management software
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills with great interpersonal and communication skills
- Good financial management skills
- Critical thinker with problem-solving and good time-management skills
**Staff Perks**
- 5 Day work week
- Salary Range: $10,000
- Annual Leave: 7 Days in year one, 14 Days in year two, and 21 Days from year three onwards
- Medical Benefits (Upon confirmation) for full time employees
- Late Night Transport - Operations staff who end work after midnight can claim for transport expenses or use the cab charge
