The APAC Business Controllership team performs the finance controllership function for some of Google’s fastest growing product areas, including Devices and Services, Google Cloud, Platforms and Ecosystems, and Payments for the region. We provide financial risk management support across various initiatives, such as pre-launch readiness, post-launch go-to-market, expansion of new products, etc. In this role, you will be a key player on both the APAC Controllership team and the global Platforms and Ecosystems (P&E) Business Controllership/ Finance team. You will partner with a number of cross-functional and cross-finance stakeholders to support both finance and business-led initiatives, while implementing and continually looking to improve existing processes. You will have the opportunity to support one of Google’s fastest growing organizations, experience all facets of finance/accounting with respect to the Platforms and Ecosystems business (including Google Play, Android, Chrome, etc.), and drive the delivery of strategic and complex business regulatory and operational initiatives. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. **Responsibilities**: - Work with cross-functional teams to lead and manage the execution of global business programs and complex regulatory initiatives with an APAC focus. - Work through tax, legal, treasury, accounting, and operational implications. Provide product and jurisdictional expertise to enable successful operationalization of these initiatives. - Coordinate and structure project plans, identify project risks, define project milestones, run project meetings, track project progress, document detailed processes and controls, publish regular project status update, and support system launches, designs, and testing when applicable. - Identify appropriate data source, run data reports, and perform data analysis to draw meaningful insights.
