DESIGNATION : Technical Translator (English-Chinese)

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Technical Translator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication between Reliance team and our China counterparts, which will include technology licensors, suppliers and partners. Your responsibilities will include:

- Interpret verbal communications during meetings, conferences, and negotiations between Reliance team and Chinese counterparts.
- Provide linguistic support for technical discussions, ensuring all parties have a clear understanding of the topics discussed.
- Translate technical documents, specifications, and manuals related to battery materials and cell manufacturing from Chinese to English and vice versa.
- Assist in drafting technical specifications, contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and clarity in both languages.
- Help bridge cultural gaps and facilitate effective collaboration between Chinese and English-speaking team members.
- Stay updated with industry-specific terminology and advancements in battery technology to ensure accurate translation of technical content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various aspects of the project as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree/Certification in Chinese from a reputable institution will be preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English to facilitate communications between Chinese and English-speaking counterparts.
- Knowledge of Battery materials and cell manufacturing processes and terminology is an added advantage.
- Comfortable to be based in Mumbai with frequent travelling required (i.e., travelling to manufacturing sites in Gujrat, vendor/partner offices/sites in China and other places as required).
- Proven experience in technical translation and interpretation, preferably in the field of manufacturing or engineering.
- Ability to work with and support multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to navigate cross-cultural communications effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
